The Catholic Church interprets the use of condoms and pills as murder

While we respect the moral stand of the Catholic Church versus the (Reproductive Health) RH Bill, we deplore the dare tactics of civil disobedience and threats of ex-communication to President Aquino by Catholic Bishops Church of the Philippines (CBCP).
The Catholic Church should be aware that our country is poverty-ridden. The poor are poor not because there are so many of them but because of deprivation.
The poor are poor because they are victims of the greed of others.
If a family is poor, natural methods of birth control would not work.
The RH bill does not legalize abortion
The Catholic Church interprets the use of condoms and pills as murder. They consider it as murder when the fertilize egg is aborted by any other means.
“Preventing a man’s sperm cell from meeting the woman’s egg cell does not kill life, for life begins only when the two cells are allowed to meet and unite as one.”
So how can the Church assert this is abortion or the killing of life when there is no life yet to speak of?
Imposing the Catholic doctrine into the RH bill discussion only creates unwanted animosity between the Catholic Church and the government. There are enough economic, legal, and political arguments that can be used to argue and oppose the provisions of the RH bill without provoking an unnecessary morality issue debate.

sometimes i want to think that the mentality of the people in the Catholic church are very poor due to only reading what was written in the bible..billions of catholic people around the world using contraceptions to avoid having so many children to brought up, this way they can give their children a better future..Poverty will have a tendency to drop if every family below poverty line will limit their kids to two or three instead of having ten as always happen in the remote area, where birth control wasn’t introduced at all!
pills, condoms and other form of contraceptions is not a crime, it is a prevention of a possible crime when the two eggs concieve in the woman’s womb and will get aborted and RH bill doesn’t change the law of abortion as it is a crime punishable by law.
DAMASO,the church wants to have a say in all aspects of our life,they want to rule us like in the olden days.
I for one will not follow civil disobidience called by the church against PNoys admin.he is doing good so far.I believe in everyone’s right to decide what kind of family planning they want to use..when my whole family left the country we have to continue supporting the ones we left behind,which we didnt mind, thats Pinoy way, to help each other,but when they keep poppin babies one after another,it became too much to support all of them,i even had to get a part time job so I can send more money.I also started sending them condoms with the box we send back home every other month,but then they told me they cant use it ,its against the church,it made me very angry,because I know without our support most of the kids wont be able to go to school or even afford their basic needs..
the church should not have such power to dictate how we live.
may i suggest with all due respect the church should clean their own house first,they have a lot of secrets,that s why a lot of catholic like me got turned off with their policies.since they dont believe in family planning ,shouldnt they be helping support all the kids that are in need,maybe the church should take some money/goldbars from the vatican vault to help out the poor instead of them living like kings.
leave the running of the country to those elected
… i was born and grew up in a catholic family, catholic schools and catholic environment… my God and i have a bond that i still follow and don’t intend to break… however, the church is getting so incomprehensible and inconsistent that my belief is getting weaker… what they are preaching are not all realizable at this age and time… we are all created precisely to choose what is right and wrong and if not adding more babies is wrong then that it makes poverty due to over population acceptable to catholic teachings?… i am appalled by its hypocricy!
Santong kabayo itong mga katolikong pari san namn bible at saligang batas nahanap nila yang sperm cell pag hindi naka pag met dun sa egg cwell ay murder? aba maysayad na ito, ano ba ng murder? at ano ba ang sperm at egg cell ? kailan ba mag karoon ng murder? kung may buhay na pinatay tama, ang sperm cell ba at egg cell buhay ba yan? sakit sa agtang ang mga pari na ito!.
